Music
Since its founding in 1999 by a group of Columbia University musicians, the Bach Society (orchestra and chorus) has become a major part of musical life both at Columbia and throughout Manhattan. Composed of Columbia University students as well as young musicians from around New York City, the Bach Society presents several concerts both on and off campus during each academic year. Despite its name, the Bach Society performs works of all classical composers.
