DRD seeks to fulfill a currently empty niche in the Columbia community, that being direct communication between our students and students in the Middle East, both for the purpose of facilitating these conversations themselves and using direct communication and knowledge to produce more intelligent, focused conversations on today's key political issues. Towards this end, DRD brings together individuals and student groups on campus to stimulate productive discussions about contentious issues surrounding the Middle East.
