Community Service & Volunteering
CYA is a mentorship program providing low-income children an opportunity to engage in learning activities outside of the classroom. Barnard and CU coordinators and volunteers create and lead excurision trips that ultimately positively impact the lives of the children in a number of ways, including increased self-esteem, increased appreciation of cultural activities and traditions, and increased interest in educational pursuits.
