The mission of the German Cultural Society of Columbia University is to create a community of students, scholars and faculty of all backgrounds who share an interest in the German­-speaking world, particularly Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Our focus may also include regions in which German is spoken but may not constitute a majority, such as Belgium, Luxembourg and northern Italy. We seek to explore and promote the art, culture, film, history, language and literature of these peoples.
