Community Service & Volunteering
AYUDA is a THON Special Interest Organization (SIO) focused on building friendships, supporting our THON Family, and fundraising for pediatric cancer research. Through THON’s Adopt-A-Family program, we are paired with the Ayden Gora family. In our 10+ years together, our relationship with them has grown, and our members anchor their efforts in providing support for the Goras and countless families just like them. All year leading up to THON Weekend, we host and attend various fundraisers to benefit THON, providing support for Four Diamonds and building community along the way. There's always events and other opportunities to bond with other members! Many of our members are involved in other aspects of THON, often serving as Captains or Committee Members, but we all find our home in Ayuda. We live by our motto, “Small Org, Big Family,” and we strive to provide a welcoming environment and an opportunity to fulfill a mission greater than any one of us—ending childhood cancer.
