The purpose of The Statesmen, Penn State's premier all-male a cappella group, is to serve The University with excellence by seeking to:
i. Provide our audiences and members with an enjoyable musical and social experience
ii. Perform to foster the presence of tradition, pride, and excellence
iii. Teach and exhibit traditional University songs
iv. Strive to expand the musical limits and reach of contemporary a cappella
