The Penn State Chapter of Vertical Flight Society is the Central Pennsylvania chapter of the world’s only international professional society for engineers, scientists, and enthusiasts working to advance vertical flight technology such as helicopters, tiltrotors, drones, and more. Our chapter provides various technical seminars to inform students and members about advancements in rotorcraft technology and connect our members with industry and government leaders. Our chapter prioritizes engaging the local community through STEM outreach, such as our own widely recognized event, STEM Rotor Day. As a group we organize trips to various rotorcraft museums and companies in vertical flight such as Boeing and Sikorsky.
