Political & Advocacy
Residential College (RC) Forums provide a medium through which students can establish and strengthen relationships with other students and RC Faculty/Staff while engaging in the various social communities that surround them. Through the creative expression of ideas (in the form of any number of creatively themed projects) RC students will be able to share experiences that can have a positive impact upon the RC Community, the University of Michigan, and the city of Ann Arbor. Each individual forum is based on a specific interest and through will be able to attract students with similar interests and creative an environment in which students can find a space to discuss issues, interact socially, or work towards a goal they have regarding an interest they have. Beyond intra-forum affairs, the RC Forums also strive to pose profound and real "inter-forum" connections through events and discussions. Forums afford students the opportunity to actively engage in their education by encouraging them to take an innovative approach to problem solving and by preparing them for effective and responsible engagement in the real world.
