Sinaboro is a Korean Drumming Group based at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Established in 1998, we specializes in playing four traditional Korean percussive instruments - the kkwaenggwari, jing, janggu, and buk.Our group is a platform where Korean culture is celebrated and prospered through music, particularly through the unique sounds and rhythms of our four primary instruments. These instruments bring the traditional rhythms of Korea to life, presenting a captivating musical landscape.Firstly, we strive to educate our diverse members on the intricacies of Korean drumming. In doing so, we cultivate an appreciation for Korean culture and music. Secondly, our aim is to inspire our audience through performance. By performing at various stages across the University's campus, we hope to share the vibrancy of Korean music and culture with a larger audience, thus fostering greater cultural understanding and exchange.
