The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers - Graduate Committee (SHPE-Grad) is a student-led organization whose primary goal is to provide a professional and social network for Hispanic/Latinx engineering and applied sciences graduate students at the University of Michigan. We invite you to participate in any of the activities sponsored by this student-led organization:Networking opportunities with Michigan alumni, current faculty and industry professionals in your research area.Mentorship opportunities to support undergraduates who are interested in graduate school.Sponsorship to attend SHPE national and regional conferences.Academic/Professional development workshops to help you succeed in engineering classes, research, presentation skills, networking skills and much more.Outreach opportunities like teaching engineering courses/workshops to minority high school students. Social activities: soccer tournaments, movie nights, bowling, BBQ’s, tailgates, parties, etc.Social networking with other students in various departments, collaborations with other student organizations such as Grad SWE, GSBSE and more.
