About WCIWolverine Capital Investments is an undergraduate investment organization formed in 2009 by four University of Michigan students interested in philanthropy and investing. Since then, WCI has grown into a club of 60+ active members managing a $20,000+ portfolio.Education and Professional DevelopmentDuring weekly meetings, we discuss current events in the market and hear stock pitches from club members. We also host education sessions and professional development workshops to educate new analysts about accounting, finance, markets, and career readiness. PhilanthropyWCI is the sole philanthropic, non-profit undergraduate investment club at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Each semester, we donate a portion of our portfolio's proceeds and participate in charitable efforts to serve our community. Previous philanthropy events include making holiday cards for Navy SEALs, volunteer missions in Detroit, and funding micro-loans for small businesses in developing economies.RecruitmentWCI conducts recruiting cycles in September and January of each academic year. We strongly recommend joining our interest list if you would like to be informed of recruitment timelines. WCI welcomes members from all majors and does not require prior investing experience. To learn more, please visit us at www.wciumich.com.
