The Afro-Latinx Student Association (ALSA) was founded in order to foster a community for students who identify as Afro-Latinx. We felt that there was not a space on campus that catered to our unique experiences, so we decided to create ALSA. Through ALSA, we hope to connect and build the Afro-Latinx community at Emory by hosting events - general body meetings, dance socials, discussions about our identity, potlucks, karaoke nights, and more - collaborations with other Emory organizations and organizations from other colleges, and the ALSA peer mentorship program!
