Familias Saludables
Career Development & Networking
Familias Saludables is an interdisciplinary childhood obesity intervention program working with Spanish-speaking children and their parents at Lindbergh Clinic on Buford Highway. The program is a great opportunity to provide culturally competent workshops for Hispanic families while empowering them to live a healthy lifestyle! We work with student volunteers who serve as teachers for each of the classes that we provide to these families. Our workshops are 5 weeks long, with classes once a week. Anyone who is interested in teaching is more than welcomed to join us! This is the best way to practice your Spanish and work with a fantastic community!
