The Latinx Graduate Student Association (LGSA) is a Latinx-focused graduate student organization at Emory Laney Graduate School. The mission of the LGSA is to build, sustain, and connect the Latinx community at Laney Graduate School and the greater Atlanta area. Towards this end, we take as our central aim to:
Enhance and enrich the experience of Latinx students enrolled in the Laney Graduate School.
Create spaces for social networking and professional development across disciplines and departments for Latinx graduate students.
Connect with other graduate, undergraduate, and professional organizations within Emory to build a sense of community and address the under-representation of Latinx faculty and students within the university.
Cultivate ties with Latinx organizations and communities in the greater Atlanta area.
