Partners In Health Engage at Emory
Political & Advocacy
Partners In Health Engage@Emory is a local team under the national PIH Engage network that aims to advance the global right to health by growing and amplifying Partners In Health (PIH)’s work. PIH is a non-profit organization that builds health care systems around the world and serves the poor. PIH Engage is a grassroots movement that carries out the people power through policy advocacy, resource fundraising, and public education. Examples of advocacy campaigns include conducting meetings with members of Congress and publishing Letters to the Editors. Fundraising can take the form of both personal and event fundraisers that generate resources for PIH’s operations. Community-building/education involves screenings of Bending the Arc, as well as guided discussions based on the PIH Global Health Curriculum.
