Emory Salsa Club is dedicated to spreading Latin cultural awareness through dance.
LESSONS: Our main focus is teaching students (at all dance levels) how to dance Salsa, particularly Cuban Style Salsa, which is also known as "Rueda" or "Casino".
Members meet on a weekly basis to learn Salsa from our professional instructor, who performs Latin dance around Atlanta and around the globe. We highly encourage anyone even remotely interested in Latin dance to join in for a lessons and give it a try. No partner required, and NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! Join us at the beginning of the semester! What's even better? We organize trips to Latin dance spots so that our members can practice their skills and escape Emory's bubble for a little while.
SOCIALS: If you're too busy to join us for weekly lessons, but still want to experience the joys of Latin dancing, Emory Salsa Club hosts one social a semester!! We start off every social with a Salsa lesson and then open up the dance floor. We always have a great DJ, performances from multiple groups, and FREE FOOD!
