SHINE: Education. Engagement. Partnership. is Emory's premier engagement program with the refugee, immigrant, and new American communities in Metro Atlanta. Through over 40 weekly trips in cooperation with over 10 community partners we strive to build a more compassionate and welcoming community in which everyone feels welcome, supported, and able to attain personal and professional success.
SHINE strives to be a resource and true collaborator driven by our community partners' assets and to help the Emory community engage with metro Atlanta's refugee, immigrant, and new American communities ever more deeply and sustainably. We offer educational and social events throughout the semester and collaborate with many campus partners as well.
