Student Governance & Funding Boards
Emory’s Student Alumni Association (SAA) is the student chapter of the Emory Alumni Association. At Emory, all students who have completed two semesters are considered alumni and automatically become members of the Student Alumni Association. We do this to honor the legacy of the influential Robert W. Woodruff, who left Emory after a term to work at the Coca-Cola Company. SAA is governed by the Student Alumni Board (a group of about 50 student leaders), who, along with Emory Alumni Association staff, oversees the planning and execution of the Student Alumni Association signature programs and events.
The Student Alumni Association’s signature programming includes the Student Sponsorship program, Dinner with 12 Strangers, Homecoming, and the Student Alumni Association Welcome Celebration.
