The purpose of this organization shall be to provide members with the opportunity to receive hands-on experience with raising poultry, as well as networking with professionals in the industry at local, international, and national conferences. This organization does one big fundraiser each year, The Annual Turkey Fundraiser. The money raised from these sales is used to send students to the International Poultry Exposition (IPPE). At IPPE students participate in the college program where they submit resumes and are matched with potential employers for interviews. In addition to sending students to IPPE, the club invites poultry companies in the Midwest to come and speak at Club meetings. We also promote the Midwest Poultry Consortium, a college program for students to take poultry specific classes.
