Heart in Hand LA at UCLA is the UCLA chapter of a non-profit organization founded by UCLA students in response to COVID-19. We strive to create safer and more hygienic living conditions for the vulnerable populations of Los Angeles. We provide the homeless, the undocumented, and ethnic minorities with homemade masks, hygiene packages, clean clothes, and food. In addition, we work to connect them with health and social work-related resources. Through various projects, panels and workshops, we raise awareness about issues related to social injustices and advocate for the importance of community service to eliminate discrimination.
