The purpose of the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) club at UC San Diego is to bring together students who are passionate about healthcare, humanitarian aid, and advocating for the well-being of people affected by the Syrian crisis. The club aims to raise awareness about the ongoing humanitarian needs in Syria and surrounding regions, provide opportunities for members to participate in fundraising and advocacy efforts, and support SAMS's mission to deliver medical relief to Syrian refugees and underserved communities. Additionally, the club fosters a community of students interested in global health, offering educational events, volunteer opportunities, and collaboration with other organizations to make a positive impact.
