MissionInnovative Styles' goal is to entertain and continue to turn the heads of the Stanford and Bay Area Communities with energetic, highly technical, contemporary dance and through new, cutting-edge student choreography. All Innovative Styles members strive to create an energetic performance outlet for a style of dance that was formerly unseen at Stanford University. In addition to participating as guest performers in cultural events, art events, halftime shows, and other groups' dance shows, Innovative Styles also organizes and performs in the Innovative Styles Spring Show every May. Innovative Styles presents a unique dance experience to the Stanford community as it was the first Stanford University jazz group when it was founded in 2000, and continues to be the only student-led contemporary and jazz dance performance group on campus today.
