MissionThe Stanford Amateur Radio Club strives to bring the culture of ham radio to the Stanford campus. In the spirit of amateur radio, we promote the art of amateur radio by licensing our members as FCC amateur radio operators, connect with other operators across the world, and provide emergency communications infrastructure to the local community for support in times when other communication channels fail.Membership BenefitsA yearly class is offered to members to train for the FCC amateur radio license exam at the technician level. Properly FCC licensed and trained members are given access to our radio shack in the Dish foothills, where the are free to use the many antennas, radios, and testing equipment for their own ham radio projects.
