MissionThe Stanford Women's Rugby Team, also known as SWR, was founded in 1977. Since its founding, the SWR program has produced All-Americans, USA National Team Players, and Olympic 7's Rugby National Team Players, and has won numerous National Championships. Today the team competes in intercollegiate competition in Olympic 7's Rugby in the fall, and 15's Rugby in the winter in the Pacific Mountain Conference. The Stanford Women's Rugby Team is consistently one of the top teams in the country and prides itself on upholding its key values of Resilience, Challenge, and Solidarity. With these values in mind, SWR defines itself as "a team that plays best together".
