Mission
CEER is a coalition of undergraduate students, graduate students and postdocs from UCI CEE working to promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) both within our department and the university as a whole. We formed this group because we sensed a gap in the discussion and education of social, environmental, political, and economic issues within the department's curriculum, and desire to ensure that the department's Anti-Racism Task Force is making progress toward shaping a school where students feel fully represented. We are committed to working with CEE Department leadership to achieve our goals. We strongly believe that moving towards racial justice and social equity is the responsibility of every civil and environmental engineer.
