Mission
American Indian Student Support Services (AISS) directly supports American Indian/Alaska Native and Indigenous students with:
• Culturally enriched retention programming
• Scholarship and research opportunities
• Higher education, professional development, and career readiness support
AISS supervises administrative duties for the cultural college-exploration conference STANDS (Students Taking Action for Native Dreams of Success), and works closely with California tribal education programs to promote college readiness to Native youth.
