Mission
American Society for Molecular Biology and Biochemistry (ASBMB) is dedicated to enriching the undergraduate education of UCSB students. Our main contributions include hosting lectures on current research in biochemistry and molecular biology, organizing educational workshops on important topics not traditionally covered in the undergraduate coursework, and providing students with the opportunity to exercise their creativity through collaborative projects with peers. ASBMB also hosts social events for students to meet professors, like-minded peers, and mentors to help advise students in their undergraduate career. Membership is not limited to biology, biochemistry, and chemistry students. ASBMB UCSB serves as an avenue for scholars of all academic backgrounds to contribute their skills and knowledge.
