Mission
The mission of the AS Senate is to advocate for the student body and to ultimately seek out a better academic environment for all students on campus. The Senate has a governing document, which can be found here: https://www.as.ucsb.edu/documents/governing-documents/
Elected every spring, a cohort of over twenty senators will represent over 21,000 students. There are many arenas of advocacy in which students deserve to have their voices be heard. If you are interested in joining, consider starting your campaign in Spring Quarter, or be on the look out for our Ad Hoc Committee's vacancy postings!
