Mission
Best Buddies aims to create meaningful one to one friendships with individuals with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
We are UCSB students paired with special olympics Santa Barbara, and members come together for an event once a month to hang out, do an activity, and make new friends! We often do volunteer events, like beach clean up or a special olympics event, cheering on our friends at tournaments! Opportunities for service hours are available!
We are proud gauchos, and excited for a thrilling year ahead.

By creating one to one friendships with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, we bridge the gap of peer socialization for a more inclusive society. Our club is paired with special olympics Santa Barbara, so there will be plenty of events with volunteer credit available! Come once, and you'll want to come back. Events usually once a month.
