Mission
Since our establishment in 2016, Breaching Biotech, based at UC Santa Barbara, has been the first biotechnology club at UCSB. Whether you're curious about the industry or just looking to pursue a career in it, at Breaching Biotech, we strive to educate students about the variety of opportunities biotechnology offers. From a research scientist in R&D, writing codes for a program, to going on business trips to market a cure, there will always be a place for you in biotech!
Membership Benefits
Members of Breaching Biotech will be able to attend various networking events, guest speaker events/panels from a variety of backgrounds--graduate students and biotech company professionals, to list a few--and workshops hosted in partnership with UCSB Career Services to help students prepare for a career in biotechnology. Furthermore, we are implementing a mentorship program this year, open to all years, designed to help students based off their current interests, whether it's getting used to college life, or looking for grad school programs!
