Mission
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program is designed to help communities prepare for effective disaster response through training and planning. With training and information, individual and community groups can be prepared to serve as a crucial resource capable of performing many of the emergency functions needed in the immediate post-disaster period.
Membership Benefits
All participants will receive complementary CERT training and an emergency response starter kit, helping prepare them for responding in the event of a natural disaster anywhere. As an accredited part of Aware and Prepare, which in turn is a part of FEMA, the certification is beneficial for resumes and applies anywhere in the country. To those who have completed the course, additional courses and opportunities will be offered.
