Mission
The Environmental Law Club (ELC) at UCSB’s mission is to understand and utilize the law to protect people and the environment. We aim to educate the student body of UCSB as to how we may take our future into our own hands and build a more sustainable future using the legal system. The ELC prioritizes environmental justice issues by advocating for traditionally marginalized communities, primarily within California, but extending to a national scale when necessary. Together, we aim to proactively shape a better future where the law equitably protects all people.

Members will gain exposure to legal procedures and engage in advocacy within the field of environmentalism.
