Mission
The mission of the USC School of Cinematic Arts is to develop and articulate the creative, scholarly and entrepreneurial principles and practices of film, television and interactive media, and in doing so to inspire and prepare the future leaders of the field.
Membership Benefits
The USC School of Cinematic Arts comprises seven divisions: Film & Television Production, Writing for Screen & Television, Animation + Digital Arts, Cinema Media Studies, Game Design, Media Arts + Practice and Producing.
SCA is proud of its nearly 17,000 alumni who include some of the most notable, creative and influential individuals in the entertainment and media industries such as George Lucas, Robert Zemeckis, Ron Howard, Kevin Feige, Shonda Rhimes, Judd Apatow, the late Laura Ziskin, Ryan Coogler, Stacey Sher, Melissa Rosenberg, Prentice Penny, Jon Landau, Jay Roach, the late John Singleton, Suzanne Todd, Jennifer Todd, Lee Unkrich, Jenova Chen, Sasha Alexander, Tracy Oliver, Matt Reeves, Tim Story, and Susan Downey, among many others.
