Social Justice
Our purpose is to enhance the accessibility of resources for underprivileged Atlanta elementary school students, enabling them to purchase holiday gifts for themselves and loved ones. We hope to do this by partnering with elementary schools throughout Atlanta-Fulton County to organize an annual SWAJ Event Day. On Event Day, GT students and participating children will spend a day together shopping, wrapping gifts, and enjoying fun holiday activities. With money raised by GT students and the Atlanta community, each child can spend a designated amount of money on items that they need and want. Our hope is for Event Day to be a positive, annual event where people from across the community can come together to celebrate and learn from one another! This is also an effort to increase GT's impact on K-12 schools in the area.
