Since 1921, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) at the University of Texas has been a perfect compliment to and integral part of the educational experience and career preparation for civil engineering students here at the University. ASCE student members have a greater understanding of their career interests and opportunities by the council and advice they receive at our chapter meetings from industry professionals. Members that get involved gain technical experience from the Concrete Canoe Competition and various case competitions. They gain leadership experience through responsibilities within the society. They create a closer camaraderie to those they are in class with establishing lifelong professional and personal friendships. Many members take the opportunity to serve and volunteer for the community through countless charities and events that UT ASCE provides. See why we are considered a flagship ASCE student chapter!
