Eta Sigma Phi is meant "to develop and promote interest in classical studies among the students of colleges and universities; to promote closer relationships among students who are interested in classical study; to engage generally in an effort to stimulate interest in classical studies and in the history, art, and literature of ancient Greece and Rome." At the Gamma Sigma chapter at the University of Texas at Austin, we offer to undergraduates who are interested in classical study avenues by which they can develop social and academic relationships and investigate the ancient world with their peers.
