The objective of the Geo-Institute student organization is to enhance the academic and social experience of geotechnical engineering graduate students at UT Austin. We achieve our objective by planning a weekly seminar series featuring visiting professors and industry professionals, organizing and subsidizing conferences attendance, routinely tapping into our extensive alumni network for job opportunities, and providing a cohesive social community on campus through engaging social events. Our members are primarily graduate students studying geotechnical engineering, but membership and events are almost always open to any interested individuals.
