Established in 1954, the Indian Students Association (ISA) at The University of Texas at Austin is an umbrella organization that aims to connect all South Asian organizations on campus and continues to spread awareness of our beautiful culture through philanthropic ventures and large-scale events. Over the past years, we have donated more than $13,000 to charities all over the globe. Each the end of each semester, we hold Food For Thought, an event where we pass out free Indian food to UT students as they prepare for finals. In addition, we host Jeena, a national South Asian A Cappella competition, and TAAL, a dance competition for the South Asian dance teams at UT to showcase their talent to a crowd of over 1,500 people, on an annual basis.
