LHPO provides a community for all Latinx pre-health (pre-med, pre-PA, pre-PT/OT, pre-nursing, pre-dent, pre-public health, etc.) students with academic information, peer support, and cultural camaraderie.
Our community works to spread information concerning various pre-health and health-related professions, programs, and application procedures to give all students equal access to opportunities to enhance all aspects of their pre-health professional experience.
Above all, LHPO works to provide a welcoming environment for students to not only exceed academically but find acceptance, growth, and belongingness in the organization and the University.
Awards & Achievements
- In 2023, LHPO was recognized within the Pillars of the Forty Acres program, achieving and receiving Exemplary Status for embodying and upholding the University's six Core Values: Learning, Discovery, Freedom, Leadership, Individual Opportunity, and Responsibility.
- LHPO was awarded a Gold Medal from the Healthy Student Organization Program (HSOP) in 2019-20 for outstanding health and wellness.
