Mission Statement To serve the School of Human Ecology by building community within the student population and supporting the school’s outreach efforts. We provide a voice for the students by acting as liaisons between faculty and the student population. Ambassadors provide leadership and engagement opportunities for Human Ecology students. Description The School of Human Ecology Ambassadors is a sponsored student organization of up to 35 of the best students that Human Ecology has to offer. In order to become a member, students must be nominated by faculty, staff or current member. Ambassadors act as representatives of the SoHE disciplines (Public Health, Nutrition, Human Development & Family Science, and Textiles & Apparel) within the UT community, the Austin area, and to prospective students. StructureThe organization is structured around the three committees: Mentoring, Social, and Events/Outreach.
