The Society for Advancing Gender Equity in STEM at UT Austin (SAGES at UT) strives to connect its members with women in STEM careers in Austin, be those in academia or industry. Our goals are to (1) increase exposure to the wide variety of career options in STEM, (2) bring to light issues important to women/underrepresented genders in STEM, (3) build a broad cross-disciplinary network of people in STEM at UT Austin, and (4) promote participation in and pursuit of STEM careers.
We aim to accomplish these goals through career panels, speakers, discussion groups, networking events, mentoring activities, and outreach events. We are open to anyone who wishes to take advantage of the opportunities we provide (including undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs, faculty members, and those who identify as any gender).
