ALDF Student Animal Legal Defense Fund at the University of Texas Law School is dedicated to providing a forum for education, advocacy, and scholarship aimed at protecting the lives and advancing the interests of animals through the legal system. Overall, it intends to raise the profile of the field of animal law.
The Purpose is to provide a big tent for law students interested in learning about and advocating for the rights of animals. ALDF will provide an environment for students to advocate for the welfare of animals in a variety of contexts, whether they are wild, farmed, domesticated, or used in scientific experiments. ALDF will sponsor events to educate students and connect them with attorneys and other professionals involved in animal law.
