TBS is the National Honorary Band Sorority for college bands. TBS provides service to collegiate bands, encourages the advancement of women in the band profession, and promotes and enriches an appreciation of band music through recognition, leadership development, and education of its members.
The UT chapter achieves this purpose through activities such as serving water at games and carrying med kits. Our chapter is also active in the community through events like Adopt-A-Schools and other community service projects.
Is Tau Beta Sigma strictly service?
While service is our main priority, we make time for social activities too! We have a holiday party, brunch, and various other events including social events during recruitment.
How large is Tau Beta Sigma?
The Sorority was founded in 1946 and has grown to roughly 150 chapters nationwide! The Beta Gamma chapter (us!) is consistently one of the largest chapters.
