Community Service & Volunteering
TRUE is a student-led volunteer organization that tutors English to young refugees within AISD. Every week, TRUE students tutor English to a small group of elementary refugee students for one hour. TRUE students pick a time that they are available each week and are paired with a group of refugees at an AISD school based on that time. Lesson plans are provided by TRUE, but transportation is not, so students will have get to their assigned tutoring location themselves. Carpooling opportunities may be provided.
