Academic
The Army ROTC program at The University of Texas at Austin is both challenging and rewarding. If you are attending Concordia University, Huston-Tillotson, St. Edwards University and Austin Community College you can join ROTC. There's no commitment required to join the Army ROTC program; you can try it out during your Freshmen and Sophomore years and gain some valuable leadership skills at the same time. But if you're ready to commit to a challenging career, then an Army ROTC scholarship might be available for you!

Military science offers opportunities to develop confidence, self-esteem, and leadership and life skills to succeed in college and beyond. It is an academic curriculum that supplements a student's major and is designed to prepare qualified, high-potential students for service as commissioned officers in the U.S. Army and its Reserve components (the Army Reserve and Army National Guard). Upon completion of the requirements for the baccalaureate or master's degree and military science training requirements, students are commissioned as second lieutenants.
