Texas Music Producers won’t turn anyone into a superstar overnight. However, what it will do is provide musicians with a collaborative environment to build and apply their technical skills.
TMP finds value in exploring the depth of modern software, and helping members gain authority in their own creative space by understanding their tools. Learning fundamental principles of sound design and mixing allows artists to effectively translate an idea from their minds into a real song. At TMP, the learning happens in real time with others who not only have the exact same interest in production, but who also contribute different musical backgrounds and tastes.
We believe that students learn best from well-rounded, relatable young mentors, and we host several collaborative challenges throughout the year to help bring people together.
We encourage any UT student interested in music production and sound design to attend our events; they are free and open to all majors!
