About Us

The Texas Undergraduate Law Journalis a law journal edited, published, and distributed entirely by undergraduate students at the University of Texas at Austin. We seek to enrich undergraduate students' interests in school by providing a forum to develop skills essential to legal scholarship. While raising awareness of current legal issues, encouraging discourse, and upholding the university's academic values, we give those students an opportunity to publish their works in a nationally reviewed academic journal.

Prospective members of TULJ can become either writers or editors for both online and print content. TULJ manages a blog where members and non-members can publish shorter, more concise articles, so everyone has an opportunity to contribute. Throughout the semester, writers and editors work together to publish that online content, refine print content, raise funds, and host socials and panels.

We encourage students from all backgrounds to apply. Law continues to become increasingly interdisciplinary, and insights from members around campus help develop more holistic, competent, and logically sound writing.

Texas Undergraduate Law Journal is a sponsored student organization at the University of Texas at Austin. The organization is run entirely by undergraduate students and is in no way affiliated with the Texas Law Review or the University of Texas at Austin School of Law. None of the views expressed through Texas Undergraduate Law Journal reflect those of its sponsors, the University, Texas Law Review, or the School of Law.

Special Thanks

The Texas Undergraduate Law Journal thanks McMinn Law Firm, an Austin-based personal injury and car accident law firm, for its continued financial support. While the firm's contributions help the Texas Undergraduate Law Journal underwrite some of its most important functions, the Texas Undergraduate Law Journal retains full editorial autonomy over its journal and other publications.
