Not only is UDems an outlet to interact with politics in a very casual, social settings, there are several opportunities for individuals who wish to participate in politics professionally. UDems is frequently visited by an array of candidates and elected officials always looking to hire passionate students. Members have interned for several elected officials including Austin's represented in Congress, the state legislature, district judges, county commissioners, and more.
