UT Fencing Club
Hobby
UTFC aims to provide members of the University community with the opportunity to develop their fencing skills and increase their enjoyment of the sport through participation in organized drills, bouting and tournaments!
We are a club open to all UT students, faculty, and staff. If you are interested in fencing but have no prior fencing experience, please come by one of our practices and we will teach you! In our club, we practice all three fencing weapons: foil, epee, and sabre.
UTFC competes in four SWIFA (South Western Inter-collegiate Fencing Association) tournaments throughout the year. Additionally, UTFC hosts a USFA tournament in the fall and spring semester. Attendance to these tournaments is not mandatory, however; SWIFAs are a lot of fun and provide UTFC members the chance to bond and meet other fencers across Texas!
Outside of practices and tournaments, UTFC are often seen chowing down at Pluckers, meeting up together for movie nights, or going out for Dim Sum.

If you would like to join a club in order to make friends, learn about fencing, and get an AWESOME workout, then UTFC is right for you! Please feel free to contact us or swing by a practice in BEL 302 :).
