The Transracial Adoptee Social Work Collective (TRASWC) is an adoptee student-led group that offers support and community for transracial adoptees for MSW students at Silver. The goal of TRASWC is to serve as an inclusive space for adoptee social work students to discuss the unique challenges transracial adoptees (TRAs) social workers face in the field of social work, explore how our TRA identities influence our personal and professional lives, and provide opportunities for community building, professional development, and networking. TRASWC is committed to amplifying adoptee voices at NYU Silver and the larger social work community.
